What You’ll Be Doing – Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a team of skilled engineers and technicians
Plan, coordinate and oversee PPM
Respond rapidly to machinery breakdowns to reduce downtime
Manage contractors and issue permits to work
Champion health & safety compliance and site procedures
Mentor apprentices and junior team members
Drive continuous improvement and plant reliability initiatives
This is a hands on supervisory role, ideal for someone who enjoys both leadership and technical involvement in a busy production environment.

What We’re Looking For:

Solid background in planned and reactive maintenance within manufacturing, production, or a process plant environment
Previous experience in a maintenance team leader or supervisor role (or be ready to take the step up having previously stood in for a supervisor or manager)
Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
Confident with permit to work systems and contractor management
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or above in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
Apprenticeship background highly desirable

Easily commutable from Erdington, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Coventry, Birmingham & Solihull.
